Photography+
I believe the best photographs (and videos) come from capturing people in their own environment—where they feel most at ease, most themselves. My approach is to blend into the background, creating a space where authenticity can shine. Rather than forcing a moment, I let it unfold naturally, focusing on the quiet gestures, unguarded expressions, and subtle interactions that reveal a person’s true essence. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s honesty—photographs that don’t just show what someone looks like but who they truly are.
CAMPUS LIFE
During my time at the University of Maine at Farmington, I had the sincere privilege of capturing students and faculty from all walks of life, going about their every day. In 2020 and 2021, I had a front row seat to the slow “return to normalcy” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

FACES OF FRANKLIN
I began my journey into health care communications in March 2021 — shortly before a major COVID-19 surge. Things were hard, but you could still see care team members’ tired smiles behind masks.

vIDEOS
While photography is my first love, I appreciate how video allows people to share their voices and experiences in a different way. Video brings depth—capturing not just a moment, but the emotions, stories, and perspectives behind it. My approach is similar to photography: creating a comfortable space where people can be themselves, speak freely, and let their stories unfold naturally. Whether through candid interviews or quiet observational moments, I aim to produce videos that feel honest, personal, and true to the people in them.
Every student has a unique journey and passion that shapes their future. Through video storytelling, we can bring these stories to life—showcasing their experiences, aspirations, and achievements in a powerful and engaging way. Whether it's exploring their academic interests, creative talents, or career ambitions, video allows students to share their voices and inspire others on their path.
When campus shut down in March 2020, we had to get creative—fast. With in-person visits off the table, we jumped into action, producing department informational videos on the fly to help incoming students get a feel for campus life. These videos became a vital resource, giving new students a glimpse into their future home and ensuring they felt connected and informed despite the distance. In total I made 15 videos in three weeks.
To encourage campus safety, I created a student-led #StopTheSpreadUMF campaign video, featuring real students promoting mask-wearing in a relatable, engaging way. The video helped reinforce health guidelines while building a sense of community and shared responsibility.
This video highlights the ease of transferring, showcasing real student experiences and step-by-step guidance to make the process feel seamless. The goal was to reassure prospective transfer students that they could transition smoothly and find their place in our community.
Life, Actually
I always thought I had to present two selves in life: a work self and a real-life self. The years have proven this to be untrue. It’s okay to bring our authentic, slightly quirky, real-life selves to the workplace. So, here’s a peek into just that.
